Rock Hopping Lyme Boys

Whenever I see this crazy sport I’m compelled to watch but I hold my breathe. One slip could be disastrous, they are so fearless, I don’t remember ever feeling this invincible in my youth! It’s the first time I’ve seen it in daylight but I still only had my phone camera. Have you ever tried this? or any extreme sport? I would love to see your photos if so.

About Lucid Gypsy

Gilly Mbachu Goldsworthy is a mum to two kids that are supposed to be grown up and mma to a four year old and a new born baby boy. None of that means that I am grown up though! I love writing – travel and quite edgy fiction – and being an OU student for a degree which remains to be seen. What I do best though is counselling; I’ve been privileged to work with many people through big changes.

  1. It’s amazing what crazy things teenage boys will do – and usually get away with it! Oh, to have muscles and reflexes like that. Though I’m not sure I would want the total lack of good sense.

Looks dangerous to me. Your phone shots are amazing.

    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

  3. adinparadise says:

Oh my goodness. No fear, indeed! They should at least have elbow and knee pads. :)

  4. Wow! I’ve never seen people riding on rocks like these!! Crazy. :-)

  5. eof737 says:

I find extreme sports hard to watch and some do get hurt… :-(
Thank you for checking in during the Hurricane… your kind wishes were appreciated! :-)

  6. Kate Kresse says:

great shots—and no way have i ever tried anything more dangerous than water skiing (on two skis) and snow skiing on bunny hills….

  7. Madhu says:

NO! And this is the first I have seen something like this too!
I have always either been too chicken or had a lot more sense, whichever way you look at it :-D

Crazy! Your photos are great, though, Gilly – especially the one with the boy waiting on the ledge. Really like that one. :)

  9. likeitiz says:

Ayyah! This I can’t relate to. This is a sport?

  10. WOW … they are lidke daredevils. I’ve seen kids do this but not on this type of terrain.
Wish I had more dare in me … unfortunately, I must admit, I am a scared-y cat. haha

  11. Fergiemoto says:

No, I have not tried this, nor do I ever intend to. It looks dangerous!

  12. TBM says:

Haven’t seen this…not sure I would ever attempt it either.

  13. Cheryl says:

I have seen this before, Gilly. Wish I still had the link: it was one guy coming down the mountain and through a small village that clung to the rock!

I would love to hear from you . . .
