Well the weekly photo challenge is very late this week and I haven’t a lot of time, I’ve just been to see a play, so I ran around with the mobile taking snaps of these books of mine. The rest, a large bookcase and several boxes’ are in the roof!

Lovely, books are one of the best company!
Wow, I thought I had a lot of books.
I lost most of mine during hurricane Katrina back in 2005. I am slowly getting more books. I just don’t have a place to put them…since I don’t live alone. Great choice and post.
I could have joined you with this one Gilly! Love books!
I am addicted to books. I am trying, diligently, to cull my shelves in prep for downsizing our home. I load them into boxes, leave them in the car for a few days and then carry them all back downstairs again. My legs and arms are getting a great workout!
A well-stocked library is a great comfort, isn’t it?
Books are the best! Not only do I love the colorful book covers, but I love the worlds they hold inside. Excellent choice for MINE!
Looks like a nice collection of books
what play did you see? Did you enjoy it?
Beautiful bookshelves! And there’s a whole world, sometimes a whole universe, inside every cover. (Most books really are bigger inside than outside, aren’t they?)
[ Smiles ] I am definitely impressed!
Love books and bookshelves. Nice to see someone other than me well supplied in books.
I’m with ya, Gilly. Got loads and loads. I’ll add a note to Dana, who said she didn’t have places to put them. I read this advice from another book lover: Make two stacks of some of your strongest books, and make them the same height. Spread them a few feet apart from each other, and lay a nice-looking board across them. Now you have two book pedestals and a new shelf to hold even more books. Of course, it you get the urge to read one of the books on the bottom of one of the pedestals, you do have to dismantle, but if you choose carefully, maybe that won’t happen for a couple years.
This makes me smile! Love it!!!!

Looks like you’re all booked out for a long time to come, Gilly.
The books in my house are mine too. Like my husband says, I do enough reading for the both of us.

Yoou have a wonderful collection of books. The pix showcase them well.
Nice entry for the challenge this week. It didn’t look like you were rushed at all.
Toodles,
Issy
P.S. what is a roof? Is that what we call an attic?
Love browsing other people’s bookshelves – thanks
An impressive collection. My books are mainly the ones I buy for my son. So mainly it is a shared one. Have a great week.

Aye! Books yes!
Excellent choice for “mine”. I recently purchased a Nook because I was being overrun by books. You know what? It didn’t work. I love reading the printed word too much to give it up for electronic printing.
Great collection!
