Fig leaf or Malabar gourds (Cucurbita Ficifolia Bouche) grown at Rosemoor from seeds planted in May this year.

This is interesting, Gilly. Are these edible? I don’t know what they are/ I know an artist that makes artwork from gourds. I wonder if there are different types. I love the close-up photo. It’s fabulous …!!!
They look enormous! How big are they really – as big as a fist, as big as a head, as big as a watermelon?

Autumn starts this coming weekend for us.
Refreshing and bright, truly a heart’s delight. That kind of rhyme, huh? In Houston though mornings are color, Summer is still everywhere and I was hoping to see some Autumn leave changes soon.
