Jakes theme for the Sunday post this week is solid. I’m posting a picture of a granite boulder in the North Teign river, called a Tolmen stone. Legend says that fertility is guaranteed, if the rock is climbed through nine times, at the right time of the Lunar cycle.
So my ‘solid’ rock has a metre wide hole in it!

Rocks are one of the most solid objects there are…and I love the fact that this one has a hole in it…there is vulnerability in even the strongest of things.

I love the idea of this hole in the rock but does that mean it holds water or does it leak out somehow? Might it be dangerous if it does hold water because the person checking it out might not know how deep it is…

What an interesting boulder, Gilly. I suppose it must have been used in ancient ritualistic practices, and they believed it had healing and fertility properties. Great pic for the theme.

I KNEW I recognized that rock!! About 15 years ago I went and climbed through that hole!!! And….I have 4 years ago found ‘The One’ and we are making our future plans with kids included!!….So IT Worked!!! lol!!
