January Small Stones # 22

I woke up today feeling my usual upbeat, happy self but after awhile some gloom began to creep in. I started to think about some of the big challenges ahead this year. So this afternoon I walked the dogs in the park, chilly, but I was hatted and gloved and it was full of colour. These are some of the things I saw.

I’m not even going to bother telling you what caused my early morning wallow, I’m sure that somehow it will be okay and these little bursts of cheer have helped me to put my normal, positive head back on!

About Lucid Gypsy

Gilly Mbachu Goldsworthy is a mum to two kids that are supposed to be grown up and mma to a four year old and a new born baby boy. None of that means that I am grown up though! I love writing – travel and quite edgy fiction – and being an OU student for a degree which remains to be seen. What I do best though is counselling; I’ve been privileged to work with many people through big changes.

  1. Oh Gilly, things have a way of working out. Such a good idea to lose yourself in nature to get your head back in positive mode. xx, Margie

Thank you for sharing them. January can be such a gloomy month that takes any cheer away. These are lovely!

There are very few funks that cannot be cheered by a walk in nature with dogs about one’s feet!

Very lovely. Sometimes things just seem overwhelming don’t they. Have a good week, and I hope the walk provides you with good, sustaining Wordsworthian moments.

  7. I am sure you will get it all done, all of the looming chores and large projects that must seem to overwhelm you now. Love your beautiful pictures and your upbeat spirit coming through in these small stones!

  8. Loved your stone for today Gilly! Yes, it all will really be ok. By the way, since when didn’t you have loads of stuff on your plate?! You have always come out shining and smiling and you always will because you are one special person! I, too, loved the layout of your photos, please show me how to do that one of these days!
