Weekly Photo Challenge: Hidden

Hidden for millenia, parent and child from the palaeolithic age found in a cave in deepest Turkey and now in the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations in Ankara. They probably have more ‘visitors’ in a day now than they had in their entire lifetime. But is it okay?

About Lucid Gypsy

Gilly Mbachu Goldsworthy is a mum to two kids that are supposed to be grown up and mma to a four year old and a new born baby boy. None of that means that I am grown up though! I love writing – travel and quite edgy fiction – and being an OU student for a degree which remains to be seen. What I do best though is counselling; I’ve been privileged to work with many people through big changes.

Interesting photo and does make one think. Why are we so fascinated by skeletons?
As far as a photo goes, I love the way the light touches the bones.

I have a BSc in Anthropology and finds like this were great for researchers to give us clues into our past as well as where we are going. As long as the bones are shown the proper respect they are due, then I feel there are no problems.
    Excellent photo and interpretation.

still sad for the child …

  12. It certainly is thought provoking. i tend to believe the should be left hidden and yet I still took the photo. I didn’t know they would be in the museum but I suppose I have seen similar elsewhere.
